Community Invited to Share Ideas for ASI CRC Pickleball Program

Bellaire, MI – Exciting things are on the horizon for Antrim County residents! With successful
fund raising, the ASI Community Recreation Center (CRC) could offer a dynamic space for
year-round recreation, including dedicated pickleball courts. To ensure this facility meets the
needs of the community, residents are invited to a special Pickleball Workshop to share their
ideas on how the courts should be used.

The workshop will take place on May 13th at 7:00-8:30 pm at the ASI Community Center
and is open to all community members—whether you’re a seasoned player, a beginner, or simply
interested in the sport. Organizers want to hear what interests you most:

• Structured lessons and clinics for beginners and intermediate players
• Ladder leagues or round-robin tournaments for competitive play
• Open play sessions for casual games and socializing
• Special pickleball-themed events for families and friends

With three pickleball courts planned as part of the multi-use center, this is a prime opportunity
for local players to help shape the future of pickleball in Antrim County.

“Pickleball has been growing in popularity across all age groups, and we want this new facility
to reflect the needs and desires of our local community,” said a representative from Area Seniors,
Inc., which will own and operate the CRC. “This workshop is a chance for residents to share
their thoughts and help us design programs that make the most of this resource for our
community.”
